The Rolex Giraglia is one of the most famous offshore Mediterranean races in the yachting calendar. In 1953 it was first held to promote the friendship between France and Italy, however it has evolved and become a reference in Mediterranean ocean racing.The action starts in the historic port of St Tropez with three days of inshore racing. Then the fleet will embark on a 243-nautical mile offshore race to Genoa, Italy via the Giraglia, a rocky outcrop off the northern tip of Corsica to then finish in its traditional destination, Genoa.
